Type material. Holotype ♂, China, Guizhou Province, Fanjing Mountain Nature Reserve: Jiangkou County, Taiping Town, Kaiwen Village, 27°54.55′N, 108°49.48′E, elev. 666 m, 2 October 2013, L.Y. Wang, D. Wang and X.K. Jiang leg. Paratypes: 1 ♂ and 1 ♀, with same data as holotype.
Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the type locality; noun in apposition.
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to P. anticus sp. nov. ( Figs 7 View FIGURE 7 A–E, 8A–G), but differs from the latter by the trifurcated RTA and the strong embolus of the male palp ( Figs 9 View FIGURE 9 A–C, 10C–E); females can be distinguished by the distinctly curved lateral margin of the copulatory openings and the long and club-like bursae of the epigyne ( Figs 9 View FIGURE 9 D–E, 10F–G).
Description. Male. Total length 2.76–2.79. Holotype ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 A) total length 2.76. Prosoma 1.41 long, 1.21 wide; opisthosoma 1.30 long, 0.91 wide. Dorsum of prosoma yellowish brown, with high cephalic area. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.06, ALE 0.09, PME 0.05, PLE 0.08; AME–AME 0.05, AME–ALE 0.02, PME–PME 0.09, PME–PLE 0.09, ALE–PLE 0.06. MOA 0.20 long, front width 0.15, back width 0.19. Clypeus height 0.15. Chelicerae stout, yellowish brown, with three promarginal teeth and six retromarginal teeth. Gnathocoxae yellow brown, longer than wide. Labium yellow brown, as long as wide. Sternum yellow brown, heart-shaped, with sparse brown hairs. Legs yellow brown, femur with one dorsal spine. Femur I with three prolateral spines; tibia I with six pairs of ventral spines; metatarsus I with four pairs of ventral spines. Femur II with one prolateral spine; tibia II with six pairs of ventral spines; metatarsus II with four pairs of ventral spines. Leg measurements: I 4.91 (1.36, 1.80, 1.17, 0.58); II 4.00 (1.11, 1.31, 0.92, 0.66); III 3.62 (1.04, 1.02, 0.88, 0.68); IV 5.29 (1.41, 1.53, 1.45, 0.90). Leg formula: 4123. Opisthosoma oval. Dorsum yellowish brown, with black brown markings and seven bright chevron-like markings. Venter with some dark brown markings.
Male palp ( Figs 9 View FIGURE 9 A–C, 10C–E). Femoral ventral apophysis small, lobe-like. RTA trifurcate, ventral branch spine-like, extending apically; other branches short, with some small thorns. DTA long and thin, extending apically, slightly curved, with wide base. Embolus arising prolatero-distally, wide and short. Tegular process membranous, small, very close to embolus.
Female paratype ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 B). Total length 2.97. Prosoma 1.51 long, 1.28 wide; opisthosoma 1.57 long, 1.12 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.07, ALE 0.10, PME 0.05, PLE 0.09; AME–AME 0.03, AME–ALE 0.02, PME–PME 0.09, PME–PLE 0.07, ALE–PLE 0.05. MOA 0.19 long, front width 0.16, back width 0.19. Clypeus height 0.11. Leg measurements: I 5.00 (1.35, 1.85, 1.20, 0.60); II 4.35 (1.14, 1.49, 1.02, 0.70); III 3.82 (1.04, 1.14, 0.99, 0.65); IV 5.54 (1.47, 1.67, 1.48, 0.92). Leg formula: 4123.
Epigyne ( Figs 9 View FIGURE 9 D–E, 10F–G) bearing anteriorly located and widely separated copulatory openings, each with distinct lateral margin. Copulatory ducts short, with two long club-like bursae anteriorly. Spermathecae oval, located posteriorly. Fertilization ducts hook-like, arising medially on spermathecae.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality, Guizhou, China ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 ).
