Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India, northern Myanmar, Vietnam and southwestern China.

Note:— Kingdon-Ward 20609 previously misidentified as C. rigida C.S.P.Parish & Rchb. f. by PO.

Coelogyne holochila P.F.Hunt & Summerh., Kew Bull. 20: 52, 1966. Type:— MYANMAR. Chin State: Mindat District, cult. Glasnevin Bot. Gard. ex Wheeler-Cuffe s.n. (holotype: K)

Falam District : 1980 m, Oct 1910, Venning 59 ( K) ; same loc., 1705 m, comm. 9 Oct 1923, Daun 75 ( K) ; same loc., 1890 m, 2 Apr 1938, Dickason 7360 ( AMES, K) ; Mindat District : type; same loc., 2285 m, Apr 1939, Dickason 8611 ( AMES) . SHAN. Taunggyi District : May 1938, Dickason 9360 ( AMES) .

Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India and Myanmar.

Note:— Possibly the plant illustrated as C. calcicola Kerr by Nyan Tun (2014: 114) is in fact C. holochila .

Coelogyne lentiginosa Lindl., Fol. Orchid. 5: 3, 1854. Type :— MYANMAR. Mon State : Mawlamyine District , comm. Veitch ex Lobb s.n. (holotype: K-LINDL)

Homotypic synonym: Pleione lentiginosa (Lindl.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 680, 1891.

Specimens examined:— MANDALAY. Myingyan District : 19 Apr 2006, Khin Myo Htwe s.n., photo, fide Tanaka et al. (2015: 73) . SHAN. Taunggyi District : 1450−1620 m, 30 Nov 2008, Tanaka et al. 080130 ( MBK) ; southern part: 30 Nov 1909, cult. Sander & Sons s.n. ( K) ; same loc., 915−1065 m, 2 Mar 1910, Robertson 137 ( K) . MON. Mawlamyine District: type; same loc., Parish 189 (icon. W) . WITHOUT LOCALITY. Maxwell & Hatcher s.n. ( K) . Reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 70), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

Coelogyne leucantha W.W.Sm. , Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 13: 198, 1921. Type:— MYANMAR. Kachin State: Myitkyina District , 2440 m, Jun 1914, Kingdon-Ward 1669 (holotype: E)

Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Myitkyina District : type; same loc., 2135 m, 15 Jul 1925, Forrest 27098 ( E, K, P). Also reported from Sagaing Region, Chin State, Magway and Mandalay regions and Shan State by Kress et al. (2003: 70), but we have not seen material from these areas.

Distribution:— Myanmar and southwestern China.
