Range: —Greater Antilles; southern Mexico to Panama; Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, LP).

Ecology: —Rare; epiphytic, often on tree fern trunks, also on fallen logs, wet cliffs, and banks in humid forests; 650–2000 m.

Notes: —Intermediates with P. angustatum are known.
