Type.
Lectotype Female (Fig. 14 A–C; USNM ENT 00873970). One female and one male were described by Saussure and Zehntner (1895), neither being designated as the sole name-bearing type specimen. Therefore, they are syntypes under Article 72.1.1 of the Code. Herewithin, the female specimen is designated as the lectotype, the male the paralectotype under Article 74.1.1 of the Code. No prior fixation of a sole name-bearing type specimen was found in the literature.
