Description. Head slightly narrower than pronotum, crown with anterior margin subparallel to posterior margin, coronal suture distinct basally ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 21. 1 – 7 ). Face with frontoclypeus and anteclypeus broad ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 1 – 21. 1 – 7 ). Wing venation as in Figs. 55, 56 View FIGURES 55 – 64 .

Ground color ochre-yellow to orange. Eyes black. Centre of frontoclypeus dark apically, or not pigmented. Patches pattern and color as in R. bubengensis . Fore wings pale, semitransparent. Abdomen blackish-brown, slightly lightened at hind margin of each sternite. ( Figs. 4, 11, 18 View FIGURES 1 – 21. 1 – 7 )

Abdominal apodemes large, broad, nearly reaching sixth sternite ( Fig. 57 View FIGURES 55 – 64 ).

Anal tube appendage arcuate, not reaching pygofer caudal margin ( Fig. 58 View FIGURES 55 – 64 ). Pygofer side well pigmented, especially at its upper basal region; lower basal angle provided with five to six macrosetae; caudal margin somewhat truncate, with a row of seven rigid microsetae ( Fig. 58 View FIGURES 55 – 64 ). Subgenital plate with exceedingly long and well pigmented apex; with three macrosetae at transitional part; without minute peg-like microsetae at the angle of caudal part; narrowed area short ( Figs. 59, 60 View FIGURES 55 – 64 ). Paramere with apical part elongated, well bent ( Fig. 61 View FIGURES 55 – 64 ). Aedeagal shaft broad, straight, as long as preatrium ( Fig. 63 View FIGURES 55 – 64 ).

Measurement. Male length 4.0–4.4mm (including wing).

Material examined. Holotype: 3, China, Yunnan Prov., Pingbian, 1300m, at lamp, 14 June 2009, coll. Cui Wei; Paratypes: 93, same data as holotype; 3, China, Yunnan Prov., Jinping, 2000m, at light, 12 June 2009, coll. Cui Wei.

Deposition. Entomological Museum, Northwest A & F University, Yangling, China.

Diagnosis. This species differs from the other species of the genus in having the anal tube appendage shortened and the distal part of the subgenital plate elongate.

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from Latin prefix “curti-” and Latin word “hamata” which refers to the shorter anal tube appendage.
