FEMALE (Specimens measured – South Africa: 8).

Dorsum – Dorsal shield, 370­408 long and 246­261 wide. Anterior half oval and posterior half, rectangular. Setae j1 32­35, j3 35­46, j4 8­9, j5 8­9, j6 13, J2 13­14, J5 8­9, z2 13­14, z4 13­14, z5 6, Z1 11­13, Z4 13­14, Z5 52­62, s4 30­46, S2 13­16, S4 13­16, S5 13­16, r3 13­16, R1 11­13. Dorsal setae smooth except Z5, which are serrated.

Peritreme – Extending anterior to setae j1.

Venter – All ventral shields are smooth. Distances between ST1­ST3 57, ST2­ST2 67, ST5­ST5 79. Two pairs of metapodal shields present. Ventrianal shield 104­113 long, 60­ 69 wide at level of ZV2 and 79­82 at level of anus.

Chelicera – Movable digit 25­28 long, with 1 tooth and fixed digit 22­28 long with 3 teeth.

Spermatheca – Calyx 13 long with atrium situated in a U­shaped bend of one side of calyx.

Legs –Macrosetae sharp­tipped: SgeII 25­27, SgeIII 28­31, SgeIV 38­46, StiIV 32­39, StIV 52­59; chaetotaxy of genu II 2­2/0, 2/0­1, genu III 1­2/1,2/0­1. MALE (Specimens measured – South Africa: 3).

Dorsum – Dorsal shield 270­293 long. Setae j1 28­33, j3 28­33, j4 9­11, j5 9­11, j6 9­ 11, J2 10­13, J5 6, z2 14­16, z4 13, z5 9­11, Z1 9­11, Z4 13, Z5 44­46, s4 28­33, S2 13, S4 13, S5 13, r3 13, R1 9­1.

Peritreme – Extending to level of setae j3.

Venter – Ventrianal shield 108 long, 154­169 wide at anterior corners.

Chelicera – Shaft of spermatodactyl 31­33 long, mushroom or saddle­like distally.

Legs – Macrosetae sharp­tipped: SgeII 20­22, SgeIII 22, SgeIV 32, StiIV 28­29, StIV 44­47.
