Sangaris viridipennis Melzer, 1931: 76 View in CoL ; Monné, 2005: 355 (cat.).
Comments. This species is the only one without erect setae on the dorsal surface of the elytra.
Geographical distribution. Brazil: Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Santa Catarina. Described from Brazil, São Paulo: São Paulo (Saúde). (MZSP). Zajciw (1962a) mentioned specimens from Itatiaia in Rio de Janeiro, and Joinville in Santa Catarina.
Specimens examined. BRAZIL, Espírito Santo: Campinho, female, X.1966 (A. Maller leg.); Linhares (Parque Sooretama), male, XI.1962 (F. M. Oliveira leg.); São Paulo: Indiana, 2 males, 2 females, XII.1935 (H. Zellibor leg.). All specimens deposited in MNRJ.
