Description. Length of male 3.60mm. Crown dark yellow, anterior margin bluntly rounded ( Figs 6C, 6D View FIGURE 6 ). Pronotum brown, anterior margin yellow; triangles brown ( Figs 6A, 6B View FIGURE 6 ). Forewing yellowish brown in basal half, infuscate in apical half. Hind wing infuscate with brown veins.
Male pygofer side with ventral process short, posterior part with setae and small teeth ( Fig. 6E View FIGURE 6 ). Paramere elongate with apex sharp, expanded preapically ( Fig. 6G View FIGURE 6 ). Connective V-shaped ( Fig. 6H View FIGURE 6 ). Aedeagus with pair of large rod-shaped lateral processes basally which longer and thicker than shaft, preatrium well-developed, dorsal apodeme thin; shaft slim, simple and slightly curved laterally; gonopore apical ( Figs 6I, 6J View FIGURE 6 ).
Material examined. Holotype. ♂, China, Hunnan Province, Chenzhou City, Suxian Mountain , 18-VIII-1985, coll. Yalin Zhang, Yonghui Chai. Paratypes. 3♀, same data as holotype ; 14♂, Hubei Province, Xingdou Mountain National Nature Reserve , 2022, coll. Juan Zhou ; 1♂, Seven Sisters Mountain National Nature Reserve , alt. 800m, 25-VI-2022, coll. Juan Zhou ; 1♂, Shennonjia National Nature Reserve , information incomplete .
Etymology. The species name is the Latin word “scapiformis (rod-shaped)”, referring to the 2 large rod-shaped aedeagal processes.
