Svastrides is a genus that includes only South American species of relatively large Eucerini . Both sexes have the clypeocular distance about half or more of the width of the flagellum, and the body is covered with abundant pilosity. Additionally, males have very long antennae, often surpassing the basis of T2. Five species are included in Svastrides : S. bauni (Jörgensen) ( Argentina) , S. neffi Urban ( Argentina) , S. zebra (Friese) ( Argentina and Peru), S. melanura (Spinola) , and S. orellanae (Ruiz) . The latter two species occur in Chile.
