Diagnosis, female. Antennule article 2 half the length of article 1. Cheliped fixed finger without pronounced serration. Cheliped dactylus without depression and processes. Maxilliped endites with process. Pleopods absent. Uropods shorter than pleotelson. Pleotelson acorn-shaped and long (longer than combined length of all pleonites).

Diagnosis, male. Antennule article 2 longer than half as long as article 1. Cheliped fixed finger with pronounced proximal serration. Cheliped dactylus with small proximal depression and two processes. Pleopods present on all five pleonites, armed with simple setae. Uropods shorter than pleotelson. Pleotelson acorn-shaped and long (as long as combined length of four pleonites).

Etymology. Named in honour of our friend and colleague Mr Jerry McLelland.
