Diagnosis. This new species is superficially similar to T. sogai Park & Koo , sp. nov. but it can be distinguished from the latter by its outwardly convex antemedian fascia and its well indicated postmedian band.
Description. Female ( Figs. 18A, B View FIGURE 18 ). Wingspan, 16.5 mm. Head: brownish orange dorsally, with paleyellow erect scales laterally. Antenna shorter than forewing; scape elongated, dark brown dorsally and ventrally, yellowish white anteriorly and posteriorly; flagellum golden yellow, without annulations. 2 nd segment of labial palpus thickened, arched, yellowish brown on outer surface, with a black subapical ring and yellowish-white apex, its inner surface golden yellow; 3 rd segment slender, as long as 2 nd segment, strongly upturned. Thorax: tegula and thorax yellowish brown dorsally. Hind tibia with brownish-orange rough scales before and beyond middle. Forewing slightly broadened distally; ground color yellowish brown, dark brown in basal 2/5 (proximad of connvex yellowish-white antemedian band); postmedian band yellowish white, zigzagging medially; black discal stigma present near end of cell; costa slightly arched from 3/4; apex angulate; termen oblique; fringe concolorous, with a yellowish-white proximal line; termen oblique. Hind wing ground color grayish; one vein absent, M 3 and CuA 1 being coincident; M 2 and M 3+ CuA 1 stalked for about basal 2/5. Abdomen: yellowish brown dorsally.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 18C View FIGURE 18 ): Abdominal sternum VIII markedly modified. Ostium bursae widely open. Antrum not clearly defined, slightly narrowed from ostium bursae. Ductus bursae slightly broadened medially; ductus seminalis arising from the broadened zone. Corpus bursae as long as ductus bursae. Two signa, one large, disposed transversally (with its greater length measuring about 3/4 the width of corpus bursae), forming a concavity with heavily sclerotized anterior and posterior edges, and the other bearing strong conical spines, situated on the opposite side, much smaller than the larger one.
Male unknown.
Distribution. Madagascar (North)
Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin adjective convexus (= convex, arched), with a Latin diminutive suffix – ula (feminine), referring to the arched antemedian band of the forewing.
