Discussion. Toxomerus mosaicus is a large species, morphologically similar to T. undecimpunctatus , both having similar male genitalia, but the new species differs from T. undecimpunctatus in having a longer postanal process and different abdominal pattern, reminding a mosaic. Material of this species was found in various collections identified by Hull as T. fragmentaria Hull , but there is no paper about that.

Etymology: The term mosaicus comes from the Greek word mouseîn that means small pieces with many shapes to form some design. T. mosaicus has some small yellow macula on abdomen reminding the mosaic pieces.
