( Figures 4, 8, 12, 16 View FIGURES 1–16 , 35–39 View FIGURES 35–39 )

Measurement. Male, 2.7mm (including wings).

Dorsum light brownish-write with two brownish-yellow bands extending from anterior margin of vertex to end of pronotum ( Fig.12 View FIGURES 1–16 ); face brownish-yellow ( Fig.16 View FIGURES 1–16 ).

Abdominal apodemes reaching 5th abdominal sternite. Pygofer side with process simple ( Fig.38 View FIGURES 35–39 ). Paramere with subapical protrusion narrow and triangular ( Fig.37 View FIGURES 35–39 ). Connective short and broad with apical feet slender ( Fig.36 View FIGURES 35–39 ). Process of dorsal apodeme of aedeagus arched in lateral view with terminal hooks slender, Y-shaped in posterior view; aedeagal shafts broadened in lateral view with two widely separated tooth-like protrusions, one subapical and one at midlength, both directed ventrad ( Figs 35–36 View FIGURES 35–39 ).

Observed Materials. Holotype: ♂, CHINA, Guangdong Province, Zhaoqing, Mt. Dinghu , 20–VI– 1983, coll. Yalin ZHANG. Paratypes : 10 ♂♂ 7 ♀♀, same data as holotype ; 1♀, Hainan Province, Jianfengling , 18–V–1983, coll. Yalin ZHANG.

Notes. The new species is similar to Trifida melichari (Distant, 1908) in color pattern and male genitalia, but can be distinguished from the later by aedeagus with two different length protrusions on middle length of shaft and with subapical part of process of dorsal apodeme slender.

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word “ elongatus ” which means “elongated”, referring to its longer apical part of process of dorsal apodeme of aedeagus.
