Yponomeuta pseudostrigillatus Gershenson & Ulenberg, 1998: 157 .

Type locality: Cameroon, Prov. Buea.

Description of adult ( Plate 4): (copied from original description) Wingspan 24–30 mm. Head, thorax and tegula snowy white, with one black large dot on each tegula and five similar dots on thorax. Terminal segment of labial palpus white which is of diagnostic importance. Forewing and their fringe white with about 45–50 relatively large black dots arranged in 5 irregular rows. Hindwing grey, their fringe whitish-grey. Abdomen dorsally grey and whitish ventrally. Male anal tuft white, white-greyish or grey in female.

Male genitalia ( Plate 13): Valva of elongated elliptoid shape with large sacculus. Gnathos large, rounded to the apex. Saccus nearly straight, parallel sided, equally-rounded, almost 1.5 times shorter than valva. Aedeagus strongly curved, about 1.5 times longer than valva.

Female genitalia ( Plate 23 ): Membranous folds between papillae anales without denticles. Lobes of vaginal plate relatively high and close to each other. Apophyses posteriores almost equal to apophyses anteriores. Ventral branch of the latter archely fused. Signum of bursa copulatrix with many small denticles.

Diagnosis. Distinguished from other species by the white terminal segment of palpus.

Biology. Not known.

Distribution. Cameroon.

Type material. Holotype ♂ (not examined) Cameroon, Buea , 29.xi.1992 K. Maes, in MRAC..
