Molecular diagnosis.
Nucleotides: 108 G, 123 G, 333 G, 519 A, 693 CG
Biology.
Specimens of this species were reared from three species of Euteliidae feeding on young leaves of Anacardiaceae : Paectes fuscescens on introduced Anacardium occidentale , Eutelia chrysotermina on Anacardium excelsum , and Paectes Poole10 on Mosquitoxylum jamaicense . Caterpillars were collected in July and November.
Type material.
Holotype ♀: DHJPAR0048720 (ACGBA2262-12), Costa Rica, Área de Conservación Guanacaste, Sector El Hacha, Estacion los Almendros, GPS: 11.03226, -85.52776, 290 m elevation, Elieth Cantillano coll., reared from Paectes fuscescens 11-SRNP-23262, host collected 15 November 2011, wasp eclosed 30 December 2011, (EMUS). Paratypes: DHJPAR0048723 (ACGBA2265-12), DHJPAR0048719 (ACGBA2261-12), DHJPAR0052678 (ASHYM2032-13), DHJPAR0028023 (ASHYE260-08), DHJPAR0028024 (ASHYE261-08).
Etymology.
Zelomorpha noahjaneae is named in honor of Noah Jane Meierotto, cousin of SM and an aspiring scientist and possible future entomologist.
