Description of holotype. Size: 4.1 mm. Body. Shape: cuneiform; Build: robust; Color (dorsally): unicolored. Head. Modification: strongly convex; Medial impression: absent; Epistoma: in plane with frons. Vertex: Sculpture elements: rugae; Sculpture aspect: subparallel; Sculpture density: dense; Sculpture intensity: rough. Eyes: Size: subequal to half width of vertex (dorsal view); Lower margin: in line or below antennal socket; Median orbit: subparallel. Antennae: Serration: from antennomere 4. Pronotum. Shape: visually transverse; Sides: slightly arcuate; Maximal width: at middle; Anterior margin: narrower than posterior. Anterior lobe: Development: obvious; Shape: arcuate; Width: broad; Position: projecting beyond anterior angles. Posterior angles: Shape: obtuse; Apex: blunt. Variability. Unknown. Sexual dimorphism. The male without apparent sexual adaptations. The female is unknown.

Diagnosis. Agrilus chloros sp. nov. is the only species of the Agrilus pilosotiabialis species–group without discernible elytral pubescence. The species is distinctive by bright golden–green dorsal side; by conjointly arcuate elytral apices and by subparallel shape of aedeagus ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE5 ).

Type material. Type locality: Laos, Champasak, Bolaven Plateau, Route (No. 23) Pakse–Paksong , Ban Itou env. (km. 35) [15°10'24”N, 106°05'48”E]. Type specimens. Holotype ♂ ( FWPC): “ Laos south., Champasak prov. , Bolaven Plateau , 10–18.IV.1999, Route (No. 23) Pakse – Paksong, Ban Itou env. (km.35), alt. 800 m, N 15°10.4', E 106°05.8' (GPS), E. Jendek & O. Distribution. Laos (Champasak).

Etymology. The specific name is the Greek adjectiv chlōrós (green). It refers to the color of dorsal side.

Remarks. Known only from the holotype.
