Anaglyphula cancellata Rensch, 1932: 123 View in CoL , pl. 3, fig. 38.

Type material. Syntypes. NHMUK 1897.8.3.149–53 (5 specimens), S. Flores (4000 ft) , leg. A. Everett.

Redescription. Shell small, light brown, conical-ovoid, rather thick, somewhat translucent, 4.375 moderately convex whorls. Protoconch consisting of 1.25 whorls, with fine growth-lines; boundary between protoconch and teleoconch clearly visible. Teleoconch surface with fine and regularly arranged ribs, approximately four ribs per 200 μm, extending from the suture to the umbilical region; ribs rather straight and parallel near the suture, and on the middle of the body whorl, but branched and fused to a pitted structure in the upper middle and lower regions of the whorl, width of about 1 /5 of the whorl height; margins of the rib-meshes with some gradually descending sharp ridges; depressions (pits) irregular, round to elongated ellipsoids, tend to be divided by elongated ridges; lower rib-mesh situated just below the suture, therefore not visible on the upper whorls but only on the body whorl. Aperture semilunar, strongly oblique to the shell axis. Peristome discontinuous, parietal callus indicated by a thin and transparent calcareous layer; peristome thickened and expanded, very slightly reflected. A constriction formed by a thin radial palatal fold internally present ½ whorl away from the aperture, sometimes visible from the aperture. Umbilicus open, narrow, approximately 1 /7 of shell major diameter.

Measurements (in mm). Shell height: 2.08–2.18, Shell width: 1.96–1.97, Aperture height: 0.96–0.99, Aperture width: 1.00–1.03 (n=2).

Distribution. The species is found in the type locality only.

Remarks. See the remarks for Anaglyphula yanseni , new species.
