Identification. Frontal lobe in full-face view either con- vex or triangular, with rounded apex; anterior margin of clypeus in full-face view convex, with shiny cuticular strip; dorsal mesosomal carina present, in lateral view low and uniform; petiole in lateral view elongate; dorsal and ventral curvatures of gaster in lateral view similar in size; lateral carina of gaster inconspicuous; and meta- coxa with dorsoposterior keel ( Lattke 1997).

Distribution. This species is known to occur in Ecua- dor and the Pacific coast of Colombia. The present record from Vaupés expands its geographic distribution to the Amazonian region of the country ( Fig. 1A View Figure 1 ) ( Lattke 1997; Solar et al. 2016).
