Distribution. China (Gansu, Henan, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Sichuan).

Diagnosis. This new species is superficially similar to A. (A.) spinosella Stainton, 1849 . It can be separated by the socius straight on the posterior margin and the saccus with distal 3/5 apparently narrowed and linear in the male genitalia; and by the triangular lamella postvaginalis in the female genitalia. In A. (A.) spinosella , the socius is protruded posteriorly and the saccus is subtriangular in the male genitalia; and the lamella postvaginalis is nearly linear in the female genitalia. Argyresthia (A.) grammosacca is similar to A. (A.) campylotropa , sp. nov. in the male genitalia, and the differences between them are given under the latter species.

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Greek prefix gramm -, meaning linear, and the term saccus, referring to the saccus with its distal part linear as compared to its congener A. (A.) spinosella .
