Diagnosis. Ariadna calilegua is similar to A. crassipalpa , A. mollis , A. boesenbergi , A. changellkuk , A. levii and A. perkinsi due to the dark abdominal pattern with arrow-shaped marks ( Figs 1A‒C View FIGURE 1 , 18A, F View FIGURE 18 , 20A, F View FIGURE 20 , 22A, F View FIGURE 22 , 31A, E View FIGURE31 , 45A, F View FIGURE 45 , 47A, F View FIGURE 47 , 50A, F View FIGURE 50 ), but differ, except A. crassipalpa , by the presence of males with metatarsi I bearing a blunt ventro-prolateral macrosetae on an apophysis located on its median region ( Fig. 45C‒E View FIGURE 45 ); it differs from A. crassipalpa by presenting the curvature of the midportion and embolus more marked, and a thinner embolus ( Fig. 46A‒B View FIGURE 46 ); females are distinguished, except from A. crassipalpa , by the presence of an anterior receptaculum with an irregular cuticle ( Fig. 46C‒D View FIGURE 46 ). It differs from A. crassipalpa by the presence of prolateral macrosetae on patellae I‒II ( Fig. 45H View FIGURE 45 ).
