Athalia cerberus Benson, 1961: 16 . Locus typicus: Ethiopia: Addis Ababa [Adis Abeba]. Holotype: ♀. Ethiopia: Addis Ababa [09°00'N 038°45'E], 8000 ft., 28.VII.–15.VIII.1945, K. M. Guichard (BMNH).

Distribution. Ethiopia.

Host plant. Unknown.

Remarks. The type material mentioned by Benson (1961) includes in total 1 ♂ and 2 ♀ from Ethiopia, and 2 ♀ from Ruanda [ Rwanda]. This material has been examined, and the first paratype (1 ♀) mentioned by Benson (1961) from Rwanda was found to belong to A. clavata Konow, 1907c (MRAC). The second paratype (1 ♀) from Rwanda was not examined.
