Type host: Prunella modularis (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Prunellidae ). Type locality: Russia.

FEMALE (4 paratypes): Total body length 435–475. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum and stylophore apunctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 2 chambers, each lateral branch with 4–5 chambers. Length of stylophore and movable cheliceral digit 110–120 and 80 respectively. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield rectangular in shape, sparsely punctate, bearing bases of setae ve, si, se and c1. Setae ve and si subequal in length, setae c1 slightly (1.1–1.2 times) longer than se. Setae c1 and se situated at same transverse level. The length ratio of setae d2:c1 1:1.2–1.5. Hysteronotal shield fused to pygidial shield, sparsely punctate on posterior part, bases of setae d1 located at anterior margin of this shield, bases of setae e2 set near this shield. Setae f2 2.8–3 times longer than f1. Setae h2 about 4 times longer than f2. Both pairs of genital setae subequal in length. Aggenital setae ag1 and ag2 subequal in length, ag3 about 1.4–1.5 times as long as ag1 and ag2. Coxal fields I–IV apunctate. Setae 3c about twice as long as 3b. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 6–7 tines. Setae tc” of tarsi III–IV 1.6–1.7 times longer than tc’ III–IV. Lengths of setae: ve 15–20, si 15–20, se 130–155, c1 140–180, c2 105, d1 25, d2 110–120, e2 25 – 30, f1 20–25, f2 60–70, h1 20–25, h2 250–280, ps1 15, g1 and g2 20–25, ag1 70–80, ag2 65–80, ag3 100–125, tc’III–IV 30–35, tc”III–IV 50–55, 3b 25, 3c 55.

MALE (1 paratype). Total body length 325. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum sparsely punctate, stylophore apunctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 2 chambers, each lateral branch with 4 chambers. Length of stylophore and movable cheliceral digit 85 and 65 respectively. Idiosoma . Propodonotal with indiscernible anterior and posterior margins, sparsely punctate, bearing bases of setae ve, si and c1. Setae ve and si subequal in length, setae c1, c2, se, d1, d2, e2 and f2 short and of same length. Hysteronotal and pygidial shields absent. Setae h2 about twice as long as f2. Genital setae g1 situated anterior to level of setae g2. Aggenital setae ag1 twice as long as ag2. Coxal fields I–IV apunctate. Setae 3c 1.2 times longer than 3b. Legs. Setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 4 tines. Setae tc”III–IV 1.2 times longer than tc’III–IV. Lengths of setae: ve and si 14, c1 20, c2, se, d1, d2, e2, f2 and ag2 16, h2 and ag1 35, tc’III–IV 13, tc”III–IV 16, 3b 13, 3c 16.

Type material examined. Prunella modularis (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Prunellidae ): 4 female and 1 male paratypes ( AVB 05–0715 013 ); RUSSIA , Novgorod Prov, Chudovo Distr., Oskuy village (59°17'00''N, 032°05'00''E), 11 June 1999, coll. A.V. Bochkov. Type material deposition. All type material deposited in the ZISP . Host range and habitat. Monoxenous species from quills of wing of feathers of Prunella modularis . Distribution. Russia.
