Original description. Bobrov 2001, P. 1012, Fig. 1 .

Description. Shell small, axially symmetrical, circular in transverse section, flattened in longitudinal section, widely elliptical. Aperture central, circular, wide, Apertural edge even, smooth, with weakly seen thickening. Shell chitinous, yellowish-brown. Shell surface smooth, without alien inclusions. Diameter/height ratio 1.88.

Measurements. Shell diameter 15–23 µm, shell height 8–12 µm, aperture diameter 7–13 µm.

Habitat. Upper layer (0–5 cm) of Sphagnum quagmire, wet Sphagnum mosses.

Geographical distribution. Russia, Japan.
