Chelidoperca tosaensis Matsunuma, Yamakawa & Williams 2017 —Tosa perchlet ( Fig. 53 )

Status at New Ireland. New record from Papua New Guinea, based on NTUM 11300 (1 specimen, 59.1 mm SL, St. CP 4489-14, northwest of New Hanover ), and NTUM 11364 (1 specimen, 57.4 mm SL, St. CP 4501-7, 5.3 km westnorthwest of Kavieng).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: New Guinea and Philippines north to southern Japan. Found on soft bottoms on the continental shelf, 60–302 m depth. Marine.

Remarks. The New Ireland specimens well agree with typical material of C. tosaensis , recently described by Matsunuma et al. (2017).
