The assignment of this species to the subgenus Lissauchenius MacLeay, 1825 is not correct, as the last maxillar palpomere is distinctly enlarged terminally, hatchet – shaped (figure in Chanu & Swaminathan 2017: 552, fig. 52) and therefore it clearly corresponds to the subgenu Ocybatus LaFerté-Sénéctère, 1851 .
