Type material. Holotype: ♂, from Xiaozhuangping Village , near Tianping Mountain Forestry Station (alt. 1520m; 29°46′35.332″N, 110°05′54.474″E), Bamaoxi Town, Sangzhi County, Hunan Province, China, 17 September 2015, C.Jin, J. Etymology. The species name is an adjective from the Latin word “ lucidus ”, which means bright, referring to the color of the male palpal bulb.

Diagnosis. Males of Clubiona lucida n. sp. are similar to those of C. qiyunensis Xu et al., 2003 ( Xu et al. 2003, figs 13–19) and those of C. pollicaris Wu et al. 2015 (Wu et al., 2015, figs 17–19), by the presence of a retrolateral femoral apophysis, but can be distinguished by the distal insertion of that structure ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 C). Females can be distinguished from those of both C. qiyunensis and C. pollicaris by the posteriorly positioned copulatory openings, and by the long, parallel copulatory ducts ( Figs 4 View FIGURE 4 A–B).
