Discussion. Corynoptera perochaeta was described from eastern Germany (Menzel et al. 1990). The species is characterized by having very long and narrow megasetae on its slender gonostylus. Instead of the three gonostylar megasetae mentioned in the original description, we have noted five to seven in the material from Finland, but the difference may partly arise from differences in interpretation.
