Diagnosis. As for the genus.

Holotype. RGMN-T020, Martins-Neto Collection, housed at the Sociedade Brasileira de Paleoartropodologia, SBPr, Ribeirão Preto, Brazil.

Locus and Stratum-typicum. As for Notocearagryllus dutrae Martins-Neto.

Remarks. This specimen was originally described as belonging to the genus Cearagryllus ( Martins-Neto, 1999) , but is now transferred to the new genus Cryptocearagryllus Martins-Neto n. gen., as discussed above.
