Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen observed at Nemto Island, New Hanover , 1–12 m depth, St. T 24, on 7 Nov. 2006, by Gerald R. Allen.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Andaman Islands and Indonesia east to Papua New Guinea, north to Brunei. Found in lagoon and sheltered shoreline reefs, associated with alpheid shrimps, 1–12 m depth. Marine.
