Robustagramma longistylum Cui and Marshall View in CoL , new species

As described for Robustagramma crassipalpus except as follows.

Body length 1.2–1.6 mm. General color light to dark brown, moderately pollinose. Face, gena, antenna and lower frons reddish yellow to reddish brown. Interfrontal bristles in three small pairs in addition of a pair of interfrontal setulae. Anterior orbital bristle half as long as posterior. Inner and outer occipital bristles two thirds as long as outer vertical bristle. Postvertical bristles parallel or convergent. Eye height ca. 2.2 times genal height. Aristal hairs over 2 times basal width of arista. Palpal bristles distinctly shorter than maximum palpal width.

Prosternum with 2 pairs of setulae. Acrostichal setulae in 6 irregular rows between anterior dorsocentral bristles. First costal sector distinctly thinner than second costal sector. Length of second costal sector ca. 0.51–0.53X length of third. R 4+5 and costa ending together before wing apex. Fore tibiae yellow to brownish. Mid tibia with one or two strong anterodorsal setulae just beyond middle in addition of a single dorsal proximal bristle and an anterodorsal, dorsal and posterodorsal bristle distally. Mid femur with 3 anterior preapical bristles. Mid tibia of male with an apicoventral and several short ventral bristles on distal third; corresponding femur with 7 ventral bristles on basal half.

Male terminalia: Sternite 5 ca. 1.5 times as long as sternite 4; convex posteromedial margin with a shallow emargination and some small, black scales. Dorsomedial length of epandrium ca. 0.4X length of sternite 8. Surstylus mainly setose, nearly twice as long as cercus. Cerci short, widely separated beyond bases.

Female terminalia: Sternite 8 reduced to 2 small sclerites. Spermathecae tapered in distal quarter.

Holotype (♂, DEBU) and paratypes (2 ♂, 2 ♀, DEBU): ECUADOR: Pichincha. 250m, 4 km S Sto. Domingo, Río Palenque Station , 17–25.ii.1979, FIT, S. A. Marshall.

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the long surstylus.
