3. Eustigmaeus microsegnis ( Chaudhri, 1965)

Locality as in E. brevivestitus sp. n. (see above).

Specimens. Three females in slides 10E / P4, 10E / P12, and 10E / P18 (05 Mar. 2000). One female in slide 10G / P6 (03 Jul. 2000). Single male in slide 10G / P4 (03 Jul. 2000). All the specimens are kept in DAM.

Remarks. A small species from “ segnis ” group, which was described from moss sampled in Missouri State ( USA). It was noticed only from terra typica up to present, but in the past it might have been confused with similar and probably more common Eustigmaeus segnis ( Koch, 1836) . In the face of new record this species seems to be Holarctic and prefering moss, but also xerothermic plants. Besides of “group’s features” (sabreshaped and flat dorsal setae, single pair of adgenital setae, lack of thorn k on genu II), E. microsegnis is characteristic by wide, membraneous edges of dorsal setae and beautiful ornamentation. Males were not known up to date.
