Description. Length (including forewing). Male: 3.8 mm.

Pale stramineous. Head and thorax marked with dark brown including several small paired symmetrically placed spots on crown, anteriorly and medially on pronotum. Frontoclypeus brownish with several pairs of dark brown markings. Gena and lorum unmarked, facial sutures dark brown. Mesonotum with small anteromedial area and pair of posteromedial spots brown, scutellum dark brown medially. Forewings smoky, with transverse veins white and dark markings on corium, and some additional scattered light brown spots.

Male abdomen. 2T apodeme with submedial lobes convergent, extended slightly beyond tergite posteriorly in dorsal view; 1S apodeme with submedial lobes foot-like, ca. 2.0 times longer than wide, lateral extension bifurcate apically with dorsal branch longer and narrower than lateral branch; 2S apodeme with submedial lobes short, curved mesad, clavate apically.

Male genitalia. Pygofer lateral lobe relatively short, evenly rounded caudally, ventral margin concave. Subgenital plate with lateral lobe triangular, extended to dorsal margin of pygofer lobe. Connective elongate, linear. Aedeagus with shaft abruptly bent dorsad near base in lateral view and again near apex, relatively broad and evenly tapered in posterior view, slightly constricted near base in ventral view.

Holotype: male, Thailand, Chiang Mai Doi Inthanon NP Summit forest, 18º 35.361’ N, 96º 29.157’ E, 2500m, Malaise trap, 9–16.ii.2007, Y. Areeluck leg.

Remarks. This species is similar to E. macrospinus in coloration and the shape of the subgenital plate, but differs in having the clypeal suture arcuate, and the middle section of the aedeagal shaft straight in lateral view.

Etymology. The species epithet refers to the flattened medial section of the aedeagal shaft.
