"Habitat in Carolina, Virginia." RCN: 4990.

Lectotype (Fawcett & Rendle, Fl. Jamaica 4: 154. 1920): Clayton 372 (BM-000040264).

Current name: Geranium carolinianum L. ( Geraniaceae ).

Note: Fernald (in Rhodora 37: 300, pl. 373. 1935) illustrated the cited Dillenian plate and noted that it belongs to G. langloisii Greene.
