Names.
Myanmar: taagat-ta-gyi. English: gargu.
Range.
Hainan and North Vietnam. In Myanmar, found in Bago, Mandalay, and Yangon.
Use.
Bark, Leaf: Used as a tonic.
Note.
In Hainan and North Vietnam, as well as on the Malay Peninsula, a decoction of the leaves is given to treat cholera; the seeds are poisonous ( Perry 1980).
