Ichnea dimidiatipennis Spinola, 1844: 162 . Lectotype ♀. By subsequent designation (Ekis 1975: 49). Type locality: Colombia. The following description of this rarely collected species is based on one specimen from OXUM.

Diagnosis. The bicolored facies of the elytra ( Fig. 75) are diagnostic for this species.

Description. Size: Length 9.0 mm; width 4.1 mm. Form ( Fig. 141 View Figs ): Narrowly triangular. Integumental color ( Fig. 75): Black, except posterior half of elytral disc yellow. Head: HW/ PW 1.0; frons indented; EW/VW 1.9; antenna as in Fig. 159 View Figs , funicle compressed. Thorax: PL/ PW 1.2; elytra strongly flared to posterior two-thirds, EL/PL 5.4; EL/EW 2.3; anterior margin of protibia with 12 spines.

Distribution. Known only from an unspecified location in Colombia ( Map 4 View Map 4 ).
