HOLOTYPE: AMNH 248065 View Materials (not 392316), juvenile male, collected at Almirante , 09.20N, 82.18W ( Siegel and Olson, 2008), Bocas del Toro Province, western Panamá, on 22 August 1927, by R.R. Benson (no. 797). GoogleMaps

COMMENTS: As noted by Charles O’Brien on the AMNH type card, the AMNH number of the holotype was erroneously recorded as AMNH 392316 View Materials ; Dickerman and Parkes (1997: 231) also call attention to this error. The holotype is AMNH 248065 View Materials . There were four paratypes recorded from Costa Rica, only two of which are in AMNH: Estrella Valley, Atalanta, AMNH 392315 View Materials , 392316 View Materials , immature males, both collected on 1 July 1921, by Austin Paul Smith .
