Key to the species to the Lepidocyrtus serbicus group

The common character shared by all species within the Lepidocyrtus pallidus-serbicus group (sensu Winkler & Traser 2012) was the absence of scales on the antennae and legs beyond coxae. Nevertheless, diversity of the dorsal body macrochaetae formula within the Lepidocyrtus pallidus-serbicus group, as well as recent preliminary phylogenetic studies (unpublished data) suggested an alternative interpretation and redefinition of this group. In this concept, the proposed L. serbicus group is characterized by dorsal macrochaetae formula R0R1s R1R2STSo/00/ 0101+2 and the absence of scales on the antennae and legs beyond coxae. The key of the group composed of the species L. serbicus Denis, 1933 , L. pseudosinelloides Gisin, 1967 , L. tomosvaryi Winkler & Traser, 2012 and L. isabelleae sp. nov. is presented.
