Type Material. 16 (Holotype): MEXICO: B. Cal. Sur.; 2 Km O Pto. Escondido; Ca~ non del Tabor; 13-IV.1994 Alt. 95m; Col. F.A. Noguera/ HOLOTIPO M/ Lygistopterus ; bajacalifornicus ; Zaragoza, 2003 [in red] ( UNAM). Photograph examined.

Diagnosis. Lucaina bajacalifornica can be identified among other Lucaina by the short rostrum and labrum with curved mandibles ( Fig. 11 View Figs ), the pronotum mostly black with median lateral margins yellow ( Fig. 4 View Figs ); and by the parameres parallel sided in basal portion, fusiform in apical portion, and apex of median lobe narrow ( Fig. 19 View Figs ).
