M. anchylodeirus was recently redescribed from different locations (Monniot F. 2016) and the Madibenthos material does not require more anatomical details except the spinules 0.2mm long figured here ( Fig. 5 ). Microcosmus multitentaculatus Tokioka, 1953 was established as a junior synonym extending the geographical distribution of M. anchylodeirus to the Caribbean area, Brazil, Mediterranean Sea Korea and Japan.
