Record as epibiont on ostracods: The species was reported by Jankowski (2007) on pelagic ostracods in the Japanese Sea.
Record as epibiont on other host: The species was described from mysid crustacean Schistomysis parkeri Norman, 1892 collected in Spanish coastal waters ( Fernandez-Leborans et al. 1996).
Remark. The species was transferred from the genus Ophryodendron into the genus Leboransia by Dovgal (2002).
