Description: BL=3.5–4.0mm, BW= 2.2–2.5mm. Reddish brown, or head black, pronotum black withbasal margin and apical margin reddish brown; mouth part reddish brown, maxilla dark brown; antennae black except antennomeres 1–2 reddish brown or partly reddish brown; legs black or pro- and meso-coxa yellowish brown; underside black, or yellowish brown centrally; surface with punctures and yellow pubescences.

Head: eyes prominent, inner margin with distinct canthus; occiput, strongly constricted; frontal sutureabsent; clypeus rectangular, width 2 times as length, punctate and pubescent laterally, separated from frons by deep frontoclypeal suture; labrum broad, sparsely punctate and pubescent; antennae slender, exceeded (extended) to the humeri, antennomere 1 twice as antennomere 2, antennomere 3 shorter than antennomere 1, antennomere 4 longest, antennomere 5 as long as antennomere 3, antennomeres 6–10 slightly short than antennomere 5, antennomere 11 acute at apex.

Thorax: PW/PL = 1.3, PBW/PAW = 1.2; anterior margin slightly flattened, posterior margin arched backward centrally; both anterior and posterior groove short and deep; disc convex, surface with densely punctate, more coarser than punctures on head, interval between puncturs flattened; the broadest area of lateral tubercle before the middle, slightly narrowed behind the middle, hind margin of the tubercle formed obtuse angle with lateral margin; each anterior angle of pronotum with 2–3 setae, hind angle with 3–4 setae. Scutellum lingulate, basal lateral sides incurved, apex truncation, with punctures and pubescences.

Elytra: EL/EW = 1.5, elytra humeri broadened and rounded, protruded forward, humeral groove shallow; surface between humeral groove and scutellum slightly convex; basal one third of lateral sides paralleled, expanded from latter, the broadest area on apcial one fourth, apex rounded; disc convex, without basal impression; suture broad with one row of punctures and pubescences, epipleura long and narrow, basal one sixth broad, with punctures and pubescences; dorsal surface coarsely and densely punctate.

Abdomen and legs: Meso- and meta-ventrite and abdomen with sparse punctures and pubescences. Legs robust. Last abdominal sternite densely punctate, center with one ridge, apical margin arched in male, but ridge absent and apical margin slightly emarginated in female. Pygidium exposed, punctate and pubescent, apical margin slightly arched in male, straight in female. Median lobe dorsoventrally flattened, short and robust, strongly curved, apical one third strongly sclerotised, dorsal side feebly sclerotised, lateral margins paralleled, underside with two ridges, apex triangle, sharp and curved upward; median struts rod-shaped, widely separated from each other at their bases, more than twice as long as median lobe, tegmen rhombus ring, basal portion Y-shaped, paremeres lingulate, apical margin with pubescences, basal piece short, flattened; endophallus membranous, with two pieces of spiny areas at apex. Spiculum relictum base long, rod-shaped, apex fan-shaped, expanded laterally, slightly longer median lobe. Ovipositor rectangular, base broad, apex narrow, divided into two vaginal palpi, with one baculus at each inner side, baculi extended to base, but not connected with each other; coxite rounded, strongly sclerotised, apical margin with long pubescences; stylus with apical margin pubescent, stylus located on central apex of coxite.

Remarks: This species is similar to Zeugophora (Pedrillia) bicolor Kraatz , but can be distinguished from the latter in color (pronotum reddish brown, or pronotum black with basal margin and apical margin reddish brown, antennae black except antennomeres 1–2 reddish brown or partly reddish brown, underside black, or yellowish brown centrally), convexity of pronotum disc, shape of lateral tubercle, shallow humeral groove, and basal impression. This species can be distinguished from other species of subgenus Zeugophora (Pedrillia) by median lobe robust, cylindrical, and apex sharp, arched upward.

We found two types of Z. (P.) longicornis Westwood , in one type head and pronotum are nearly black, in another entirely yellowish brown. The original description just described the second (yellowish brown) type. But there is no difference in morphology except color. We also compared the male and female genitalia of the two types and found no significant difference. Consequentely the color difference is just intraspecific variation.

We compared types of Z. (P.) longicornis Westwood and Z. (P.) bicoloriventris Pic, 1911 , no significant difference was found. Type localities of both species are North India. We propose Z. (P.) bicoloriventris Pic as a new junior synonym of Z. (P.) longicornis Westwood.
