Holotype: ZMH 5127 [ex IOES 161a], 57.0 mm SL.

Type locality: off east coast of Somalia, western Indian Ocean (7°43.3' N, 49°57.5' E to 7°45.2' N, 49°59.0' E), depth 72 to 41 meters. Illustrations: Heemstra & Akhilesh, 2012:150, figs. 34–36; Kotthaus, 1973:21, fig. 290; Kuiter, 2004:42, figs. A–F.
