Kraepelin 1911: 105–106, figs 5a–b (as Pseudocleobis hirschmanni n. sp.)

Type locality and specimens. Cochabamba, Bolivien. Nur ein ♀. Dr. M. Hirschmann leg.

Dimensions. Länge des Truncus 12 mm [prosoma + opisthosoma: 11.63].

Oldest label. Ammotrecha n. sp.; Hirschman; l. 26.X.05; Cochabamba, Bolivien ( Kraepelin handwriting).

Additional label. Pseudocleobis hirschmanni Krpl. 1♀ —Typus—Krpln. Bolivia: Cochabamba; Roewer rv 1931 No. 8486 (Roewer handwriting).

Type material. Holotype ♀ (ZMH-A0000207). Both chelicerae dissected.

Taxonomic remarks. The oldest label refers to a new species of Ammotrecha but does not designate the specimen inside a vial as the type. In the description Kraepelin states that his new genus Pseudocleobis shares many features with Ammotrecha and it is most likely that the label was not changed after the description. Roewer (1934) correctly identified this specimen as the type of Pseudocleobis hirschmanni (vidi 1♀, Typus; p. 605) and we reiterate that this is the holotype.

Current systematic position. Ammotrechidae , Pseudocleobis hirschmanni Kraepelin 1911 .
