Female (length about 1.0- 1.5mm): head generally metallic green or blue-green, scrobes purple, mouth margin blue, mesoscutum bright metallic green, scutellum less shiny metallic green, slightly coppery in basal half; antenna (Fig. 1593) scape dark brown; flagellum brown; tegula dark brown; femora dark brown; fore and mid tibiae yellow, each with a faint, narrow, brown, subbasal ring, hind tibia yellow with basal half almost entirely dark brown; head (Fig. 1591) about 2.9-3.0X as wide as mouth opening; frontovertex about 2.5-3.3X head width and 2.9-3.0X as wide as mouth opening, with shallow piliferous punctures, each a little larger than eye facet but somewhat obscured by the coarse, relatively deep, polygonally reticulate sculpture; ocelli forming an angle of about 90°; posterior ocellus a little closer to eye than occipital margin; pedicel and flagellum together longer than head width; scrobes shallow, separated from anterior ocellus by nearly 2X length of torulus; antenna (Fig. 1593) with scape about 4.2-4.7X as long as broad and very slightly longer than width of frontovertex; clava with apex rounded; pedicel clearly longer than F1; funicle segments quadrate or very slightly longer than broad; linear sensilla on F2-F6; clava with segments subequal but becoming gradually shorter towards apex which is rounded; clypeal margin weakly emarginate and straight; mandible with one tooth and a broad truncation; scutellum (Fig. 1598) with deep, longitudinally striate-reticulate sculpture, more less arranged in whorls and conspicuously deeper than sculpture on mesoscutum; scutellum convex; fore wing (Fig. 1597) about 2.4X as long as broad, marginal vein (Fig. 1594) a little less than 2X as long as broad; costal cell with only a single line of setae dorsally, these extending nearly to base; dorsal surface of basal cell with at least 60 setae; linea calva closed; Gt3 with a pale, anteromedian area; ovipositor (Fig. 1595) longer than mid tibia and hidden; second valvifer with about 8 subapical setae. Male (length about 0.8-1.4mm): generally similar to female but for colour and structure of antenna (Fig.1592) and genitalia (Fig. 1596); face shining metallic green, scape yellow with a dark brown subbasal spot dorsally; flagellum pale testaceous-brown; posterior ocellus about equidistant from eye and occipital margin; F6 at least 1.35X as long as broad; dorsal surface of basal cell with at least 50 setae.

DISTRIBUTION. Jamaica, Grenada, St Vincent, Tobago, Trinidad, Belize, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and Brazil ( Noyes & Hanson, 1996).
