Type host: Prunella modularis (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Prunellidae ). Type locality: England. FEMALE (holotype and 6 paratypes). Total body length 880–950. Gnathosoma . Hypostomal apex with pair of medium in sized, blunt-ended protuberances. Each medial branch of peritremes with 3–5 chambers, each lateral branch with 5–7 chambers. Stylophore constricted posteriorly, apunctate. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield slightly concave on anterior margin, densely punctate on whole surface. Length ratio of setae vi:ve:si 1:1.5:2.7. Setae c2 situated anterior to level of setae se. Hysteronotal shields punctate, bases of setae d1 near this shield. Pygidial shield sparsely punctate. Setae f1 slightly (1.2 times) longer than h2. Coxal fields I–IV punctate. Setae 3c 1.3 times longer than 3b. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 8–9 tines. Setae tc’ and tc” of legs III and IV subequal in length.
