The highest mean density of ciliates was recorded on the fourth leg of the mite and declined gradually towards the first leg, which recorded the lowest mean number and attached to the bases of the setae on the legs of the mite ( Ramadan 2004 ). Other hosts: Аttached to the Cypris and Cyclops in the pools in the early spring ( Kudo 1931 ); on the copepod Eucyclops agilis (cf. Henebry & Ridgeway 1979 ).
