Ecology.
Larvae are strongly crenophilic and orophilic primarily occurring in springs, brooks and small rivers, between
2500 and
2800

), and sometimes occurring in lower reaches (Tichka,

, Sánchez-Ortega coll.). Larvae are detritivores. The flight period is in spring (III–VI).
