RCN: 6800. Replaced synonym: Satyrium cornutum L. (1760) . Lectotype (Linder in J. S. African Bot. 47: 359, f. 9.1, 9.2. 1981): Herb. Burman (G). Current name: Schizodium cornutum (L.) Schltr. (Orchidaceae) . N ote: Linnaeus (Sp. PL, ed. 2, 2: 1330. Jul 1763) transferred Satyrium corn u tu m L. (1760) to Orchis , coining the name O. biflora L. because of the existence of O. cornuta L. (1760) . However, three months later ( Oct 1763), Linnaeus published yet another name, O . satyrioides , as a replacement for S. cornutum , and O. satyrioides is therefore illegitimate.
