The new species resembles Allomedmassa bifurca sp. nov. ; for detailed diagnosis see above. Female unknown. Description. Male ( Figs 4 D–F, 5). Holotype : body 11.96 long; carapace 5.98 long, 4.55 wide, width/length = 0.76; abdomen 5.98 long, 4.24 wide. Body colouration as in genus description. Diameters of eyes: AME 0.37, ALE 0.27, PME 0.31, PLE 0.33. Eye interdistances: AME–AME 0.24, AME–ALE 0.15, ALE–ALE 1.22, PME–PME 0.33, PME–PLE 0.40, PLE–PLE 1.76, ALE–PLE 0.14. OAW 2.05, CRW 2.89, OAW/CRW = 0.71. CRW/carapace width = 0.64. MOA 0.80 long, front width 0.93, back width 0.96. Clypeus height 0.33, 0.89 times of AME diameter. Chelicerae with three promarginal teeth, five or six retromarginal teeth. Labium 1.04 long, 0.89 wide. Sternum 2.72 long, 2.38 wide. Measurements of legs: I 17.12 (4.88 + 2.16 + 4.15 + 3.81 + 2.12), II 15.85 (4.49 + 2.02 + 3.83 + 3.44 + 2.07), III 13.78 (3.94 + 1.89 + 3.03 + 3.16 + 1.76), IV 17.77 (4.80 + 2.02 + 4.12 + 4.93 + 1.90). Leg formula: 4123. Leg spination: femora I–II pl 1 do 2, III–IV pl 1 do 3 rl 1; tibiae I plv 3–4 rlv 4, II plv 3 rlv 3, III pl 2 rl 2 plv 2 rlv 2, IV pl 2 rl 2 plv 2 rlv 1; metatarsi I–II plv 2 rlv 2, III–IV plv 2 rlv 2 vt 3. Palp as illustrated ( Figs 4 D–F, 5E–G). Tibia with ventral surface flat and slanting, not forming hump; RTA long, almost straight, only slightly curved at end. Tegulum extremely convex on retrolateral side; sperm duct visible for most its length, hidden near base of embolus. Embolus thick, S-shaped in ventral view, with ridge-like projection in middle of retrolateral side. Female unknown. Distribution. China ( Yunnan ) ( Fig. 12 ).
