Distribution and habitat.
New Ireland
: 1, 2, 3.—General distribution: Red Sea and East Africa east to Marshall, Line and Tuamotu islands, north to Ryukyu and Ogasawara islands, south to northern
Australia
including Lord Howe Island. Found in coral-rich areas of lagoon and seaward coral reefs,
1–46 m
depth. Marine.
